Hi. I’m Tanya Baksha.
I’ve been blogging since before blogging was even a thing. I started out writing for an online journal called i-parenting. I loved writing there, chronicling the stories of becoming a mom and raising my three growing, energetic kids while loving my crazy husband, Joe. I made life long friends and built incredible community with other writers. Evolving with this blogging thing has been a journey, just like my life. It has been a work in progress.
I have spent a lot of time trying to determine where I fit. I am a mom, but I’m not really a mommy blogger. I am a Christian. I write about my faith a lot, but I am not strictly a faith writer. My life is changing and growing– those young kids, well they are all in high school and even heading off to college. My faith, once young and tender, is growing and strong. I’ve learned a lot along the way. I guess you could say, I’ve been there and done that. But I’m not content to stay put. I want to keep growing. Changing. Moving forward.
That is what I have to offer. I’ve been there; I’ve done that– and not just as a mom, but as a wife, as a woman, as a person of faith, as a human being living on this broken planet– I want to share with you the lessons I’ve learned along the way– to leave my footprint in the sand, to help you navigate the way. But I don’t want to just stay in the past. I want to share what I am doing, what I hope to do, and how I plan to get there.
In his letter to the Philippians Paul said:
I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back. (Phillipians 3:12-14 MSG)
This is my hope. This is my purpose. I’m no expert, but I do have experience to share. At the same time I have a life to live, and I’m focusing it on Jesus Christ.
So, wherever you are in life– I hope you will join me here. I hope that together we can live and learn and grow. Someday, we will reach the goal.
